Plant Manager
Pay: $100,000 - $130,000
Shift: Average 10-11 hour days
Job Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Interviews and trains new employees.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Develops, cross-trains and encourages staff to reach their potential. Ensures there is adequate staff and bench strength of the sustainability of the site.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy and upon HR approval.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, non-hostile work environment that meets all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Aid in the communication of company strategy and initiatives assuring that associates throughout the site understand how their job affects our company’s success.
- Maintain and develop as needed:
- A culture of integrity, responsibility, and continual improvement with high urgency to solve plant/customer problems.
- Auditable, preventive maintenance program along with a critical spare parts strategy
- Visual management controls for plant processes with a high standard of housekeeping and facility presentation
- KPIs and associated dashboards to monitor the status of the site and areas for reaction.
- High standard for labor utilization with strong leadership and accountability in maximizing uptime.
- Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
- Oversees the shipping and receiving functions.
- Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
- Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
- Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine timing and products to be sold.

- Meeting the needs of our customers
- Adhering to budgeted cost parameters, meeting the site budgeted EBITDA performance criteria.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned or associated with the responsibility of the position.
Required Work Experience & Skills
- A proven track record of success and experience leading efforts in a manufacturing facility to include establishing and achieving KPIs across all site activities, managing key manufacturing processes, implementing best practices, and driving innovation and improvements to meet changing business needs in context of the company’s operating strategies.
- 10 years progressive experience in manufacturing and a minimum of 5 years in an Operations leadership role. P&L oversight preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to blend previous experiences and make data-driven, fact-based decisions relevant to the current situation and business needs; and have the skills and ability to work as a strategic plant leader and then translate those ideas into tactical actions.
- Must know and manage to the business plan; proven financial and accounting acumen including P&L responsibility, inventory, costs, margins, and operational performance analytics.
- Must be able to facilitate meetings onsite – safety, quality, maintenance, other operations.
- Ability to promote a team environment and high level of engagement with the workforce.
- Experience with Total Preventive Maintenance programs with spare parts organization and management.
- Must be experienced with housekeeping programs implementation, 5S and tour ready facility management
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
