Role Overview :
You will serve as the Indiana Army National Guard Training Site Natural Resources Technician. The position is located at the Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Edinburgh, Indiana. You will execute components of the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP) for the 35,000-acre training center and the 1,000-acre Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. The position is heavily focused on field projects supporting the management of natural resources found at the training sites. Work will include invasive species control, habitat management and restoration, field data collection, equipment operation, and general support to a team of environmental professionals. Work will be conducted in forest, shrub, grassland, and aquatic habitats and will also include some office and biological check station work. The schedule is generally first shift Mon-Fri but can vary based on seasonal needs and may require limited evening and weekend work. Must be willing to pursue wildland fire credentials commensurate with wildland fire role(s) to include successful completion of annual physical fitness requirements (training provided). You may supervise other technicians, seasonal staff, and Indiana Department of Correction personnel in the field.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
