Job Description

We're looking for an organized and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents, prepare immigration filings, conduct legal research, and handle case management and communications Our paralegals work closely with highly involved, accessible, and skilled attorneys and an excellent administrative team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented immigration paralegal who is passionate about helping immigrants. Responsibilities: • Prepare cases involving removal defense, family immigration, employment immigration, asylum, naturalization, and crime victim visas (with strong attorney and administrative support) • Independently and proactively manage high volume caseload in a fast-paced environment including document review, preparation, and filing of immigrant petitions with USCIS, EOIR & NVC • Communicate both orally and in writing with individual and corporate clients, as well as government agencies • Monitor deadlines and expiration dates, follow office procedures and attorney directions • Manage client communication and government correspondence • Provide exceptional customer service • Work directly with the team of attorneys and partners to ensure the highest quality of legal representation for our clients • Take on special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Bilingual English-Spanish strongly preferred • Demonstrated commitment to immigrants' and civil rights issues • Strong desire to develop professionally within the firm and in the immigration legal community  • Highly detail-oriented and proactive • Works well under pressure and understands the importance of deadlines  • Strong communication skills – on the phone, via email, and in person  • Professional and courteous; positive attitude  • Self-starter; quick learner; impeccable ethics About Company: As a premier immigration firm in Atlanta, GA, we handle complex and important work.
