Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to assist with regression testing, ensure software/project functionality, and support manufacturing engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ERP systems and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), with a focus on problem-solving to resolve issues impacting production.

Scope of Work / Project:

• Regression Testing: Assist in the testing and verification that software/projects are functioning correctly.
• System Support: Help new hires gain access to the Manufacturing Execution System and offer support where needed.
• Team Support: May assist the manufacturing engineering team with ongoing projects as necessary.

Top 3-5 Skills / Technologies and Qualifications:

• Initiative & Organization: Ability to stay focused, follow through, and complete tasks independently.
• Engineering Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Process Development Experience: Knowledge of process development techniques in a manufacturing setting.
• ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, ideally with Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Aerospace Industry Experience: Ideally, experience in aerospace or a mechanically/electrically oriented manufacturing engineering role.
• Project Leadership: Proven track record of completing significant manufacturing engineering projects, preferably leading a team to accomplish project tasks.
• Problem Solving: Experience in resolving production issues and working effectively under pressure.

Manager's Comments:

• The candidate must have hands-on experience with ERP or MES systems and be adept at troubleshooting production issues caused by these systems.
• Candidates with manufacturing engineering experience in the food or chemical industries will be considered, but aerospace experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical/electrical orientation is required, and the individual should have experience solving technical problems.
• Project Leadership: Experience leading projects, especially within manufacturing engineering, is highly valued.

Additional Information:

• This role may involve occasional support for manufacturing engineering team projects.
• A strong ability to work independently and exhibit initiative is essential.
• Certifications: Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma or similar quality methodology is highly desirable.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
