Established in 1996 and based in Oakland, California, Regional Asthma Management & Prevention (RAMP) is a project of the Public Health Institute. We envision healthy communities where asthma is reduced and well-managed, and the social and environmental inequities that contribute to the unequal burden of the disease for low-income communities and communities of color are eliminated.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Asthma Education Specialist at Regional Asthma Management & Prevention, Public Health Institute in Oakland, CA. The Asthma Education Specialist will be responsible for conducting asthma education programs, developing educational materials, providing support to patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance asthma management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct in-home assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized asthma education plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, community members, and health plans to implement interventions and referrals, promoting effective care coordination.
Develop and deliver engaging education presentations to community members, addressing asthma management and prevention strategies.
Analyze data and prepare insightful progress reports to inform program development and improvement.
Promote cultural sensitivity and linguistic competence, bridging gaps to ensure inclusive and accessible services.

Estimated salary range: $48,000 - $58,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
